The Mercer County D.A.R.E. program is an evidence-based education curriculum that teaches kids refusal skills, how to make responsible decisions, good communication and how to make safe and healthy lifestyle choices. In Mercer County, all 6 school districts teach D.A.R.E in 5th Grade. We also offer a Middle School curriculum that is taught in 5 of the school districts. At the end of our 5th Grade D.A.R.E. program we celebrate the students who have passed, and they receive a tee shirt and a certificate at a D.A.R.E graduation ceremony. Our middle school students receive a Pizza Party

The Mercer County D.A.R.E. Boosters assist the D.A.R.E officer and also hold a luncheon for seniors that have stayed true to their D.A.R.E. promise to resist alcohol, tobacco and illegal drugs. The Mercer County D.A.R.E Boosters presents scholarships to select students each year.
